Cassia Lodge started very much as an idealist’s dream. Convinced that Africa needs more than aid to lift it out of poverty, the owners decided to invest all their savings in this lodge, thus creating employment opportunities for young Ugandans, markets for farmers and fishermen, and generating taxes that pay for social services.On the slopes of Buziga Hill, and featuring views of Lake Victoria, this informal hotel off Route 109 is 4 km from Ggaba Beach and 10 km from Kabaka’s Palace.
The airy, relaxed rooms come with balconies, flat-screen TVs and mini fridges, in addition to en suite bathrooms and free WI-Fi.
Amenities include a restaurant, a bar and a terrace with lake views, as well as an outdoor pool.
